The Georgia Cup is an individual application ice hockey cup of HSS, for children playing ice hockey in the U8-U10 age group.

We welcome children playing ice hockey in neighborhood countries to the tournament!

TOURNAMENT DETAILS:

Tournament date: December 31. 2026 (Thursday)
Venue:Budapest, Óbudai Jégcsarnok (address: 1037 – Budapest, Kubik Street 6.)
Age group: U8-U10
Category AA - AAA
Number of teams participating in the tournament:
The minimum number of teams required to hold the tournament is 4 teams
Maximum number of teams: 12 teams
Number of players per team: 1 goalkeeper and max. 9 players (3 rows)
Organiser: Hockey Stars Studio Ltd.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS:

Application age group / knowledge level category:
Goalies
Only blue (AAA) category goalies are allowed to participate in the tournament:
– Boys born between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017 and
– Girls born between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016

Players
– Boys born after January 1, 2017 and
– Girls born after January 1, 2016
– Minimum skill level: U8: blue (AAA), U9 – U10 yellow (AA) or blue (AAA)

Further application conditions:
– Ice hockey player registered at the ice-hockey association, with active status
– Valid sports medical license
– At least a level of knowledge appropriate to the tournament classification
Only healthy players can participate in the tournament!

To participate in the tournament you need:
– Full ice-hockey equipment

CONDUCT OF TOURNAMENTS
– 3 v 3 play in 1/3 full ice-rink
- normal size hockey goal (72"), normal size puck
– 2 or 3 games played simultaneously across the full-sized pitch
- 2x10 - 12 min playing time, running clock, with 1 minute shifts
– Round-robin format in 1 or 2 groups; in the case of 2 groups, followed by matches in lower and upper tiers.
– Applying the hungarian rules for the small-sided game (U8-U10), penalty kicks in case of an irregularity

AGENDA:
- Arrival / registration: 7:15 - 7:50
- Warmup: 8:00 - 8:30
- Changing clothes: 8:30 - 9:00
- Introduction of the teams, entry: 9:00
- Start of the games: 9:15
– Duration of the tournament:
In case of 4 teams: 3 hours (finished at 12:00)
In case of 5-6 teams: 4 hours (finishes at 1:00 PM)
In case of 7-8 teams: 5 hours (finish at 2:00 PM)
In case of 9-12 teams: 6 hours (finish at 3:00 PM)

The tournament schedule may vary depending on the number. In case of significant delays, the Organizer reserves the right to reduce the time of the matches.

REGISTRATION
You can only register online, via this website, by submitting your order after accepting the declarations required for the registration. The registration becomes valid when the ticket price is paid in full, using one of the selected payment methods. Payment considered settled:

Payment is considered paid when 
– in case of payment by bank card, the bank card purchase is successful and approved 
– if you choose to pay by bank transfer, the transferred amount is credited on the Organizer's bank account.
If you choose to pay by bank transfer, the funds must be credited on the Organizer’s bank account within 5 calendar days after placing the order; otherwise, your registration will be automatically cancelled on the 6th day.

Rejection of application by the Organizer
If the applicant does not fully meet the application conditions (including, but not limited to, the application age group (the player is too old), the application will be automatically canceled / canceled (there is no possibility of individual consideration, the rules apply uniformly to all applicants) and the paid participation fee will be refunded.

Cancellation of application by the applicant
IMPORTANT NOTICE! Please note that the ticket for this event applies to a pre-determined date, therefore, if you purchase the ticket, you cannot exercise your right of withdrawal/termination, as Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.) does not provide for the right of withdrawal in the case of contracts for services related to leisure activities, if a performance deadline or deadline specified in the contract has been stipulated.

This means that if you or the player registered for the event is unable to attend the event for any reason, the Organizer is unable to exchange the ticket for a ticket for a later date, refund it, or refund the purchase price.

ADDING TEAMMATES
Conditions for adding teammates
– When submitting the application, the applicant may indicate to the Organizer which players (friends, teammates) the applicant would like to play in thesame team in the tournament. 
– An applicant can nominate maximum 2 other players who are also registered for the tournament with whom they would like to play (one of the 2 players can be a goalkeeper)
- If a player is nominated by multiple players (that they would like to play with him/her in a team), the player in question will be placed on a team who provided the player's name in an earler application / request in chronological order.
– An additional condition is that if more than 3 players (4-5 or 6) want to play together in one team, a maximum of 3 players can play together, the players who named the other 2 players earlier in chronological order). 
(For example: if 5 players want to play with János Minta, then the 2 players who submitted their application earlier in chronological order (and named János Minta as a teammate) will play with János Minta on the same team.)
– If a player named an another player, but that player does not register for the tournament, we cannot consider their request. Therefore, we recommend that those who want to play with each other and who name the other player coordinate so that everyone registers for the tournament.

The request can only be made online when submitting the application, by filling in the relevant information when applying. Requests cannot be submitted later (verbally, via email, messenger message) after the application has been submitted.

The Organizers will try to fulfill the requests to the best of their knowledge, but the primary goal is to create teams of equal strength, so requests can only be accepted if this primary goal is not violated.
The request from the entrant is just a request. This means that if the Organizer is unable to fulfill the request, it does not constitute non-contractual performance on the part of the Organizer, and therefore does not give the entrant legal grounds to unilaterally withdraw from participation in the tournament.

FEES

Until August 31, 2026 (until 23:59) as part of the Early Bird promotion:
- Goalie ticket: 8.500 HUF
- Player ticket: 17.000 HUF

Starting from September 1, 2026 (00:00)
- Goalie ticket: 10.000 HUF
- Player ticket: 20.000 HUF

The participation fee includes:
– Participation in at least 4 matches 
- Coach for each teams
- Referee
- Medical assistance
- Jersey for the tournament

The participation fee does not include meals, the buffet will be open in the ice hall during the tournament.

PRICES:

Team awards:
– Medal for all participants (regardless of the tournament ranking)
– The tournament winner can celebrate with the Georgia Cup, the team's players can take home a miniature copy of the Georgia Cup)

MVP awards:
- Best scorer
- Best player
- Best goalie
- Best player of the team (the team's coach selects the best player from each team)
